Our consultation begins with a free home visit to meet and discuss your requirements. These may consist of anything from a full detailed design and project management for the whole garden, to simply some ideas for improving the planting in a small area of your garden.
To help you decide, we can show you examples of work we have done for previous clients.
Having seen your garden we will then be able to give you a quote for the work involved.
During this visit we will establish your wishes and tastes with the help of photographs, discussion and a questionnaire.
The next stage is for us to carry out an accurate survey and analysis of your site, taking measurements, soil samples and photographs, to enable us to create a scale plan.
We will then produce our ideas and during a further visit will discuss your views and feelings so far.
Having agreed on the final design we will then produce the detailed presentation drawing of your garden.

This will be drawn to scale and coloured, showing the different areas and elements within the design - seating areas, paths, structures, special features and planting beds (not individual plants).

Also included will be a visual representation of the garden or a feature within it, to give you a better idea of how the plan will look in reality. This will be in the form of a 3-D axonometric drawing or an elevation.

We also provide you with a mood board, showing a selection of photographs which illustrate our ideas and features we have included in your design.
If you simply require a few ideas rather than a full design, we can provide and discuss options we think would suit your requirements.
If you are unsure how to plant up your garden we can produce a detailed planting plan for you. This will include trees, shrubs, plants and bulbs suited to the conditions and position in the garden. We will indicate exact species, numbers, sizes and location.

With the planting plan we will provide you with a maintenance schedule, which is a booklet containing pictures and details of the plants in your garden. It includes a straightforward breakdown of how to prune, feed, care for and generally manage the planting throughout the year.
If you do not want a full planting plan, we can provide a list of plants which would thrive and match your style, in the areas you require planting.
Once you intend to proceed to the construction stage we can supply a set of construction detail drawings, which will ensure the features are built to a good standard. The setting out drawing shows the contractor or yourself how the design should be laid out.
We are able to provide a specification for the design we have produced. This is a document, which details exactly how all the construction and planting work should be carried out.
You may not want to build the garden yourselves or have the hassle of overseeing the construction by contractors. If this is the case we can project manage the construction for you.
